In my classes you can expect a slower moving flow to spend time and get to know the postures. Main focus on pairing breath to movement, pranayama, guided meditations, chanting, and personal stories discussing topics including but not limited to social justice, relationships, yogic philosophy, spirituality, trauma, and compassion practice. To me, yoga is the work of showing up for oneself, and loving oneself through all the ups and downs that human life offers. Yoga is the endless, diligent work of bettering oneself to ultimately spread that work to the world. Yoga is forgiveness, compassion, discipline, and the means by which we achieve transformation. I’m inspired in my teaching by my teachers Jessica Garay and Audra Carmine who lead by incredible example. My personal practices include daily meditation, journaling, asana, and self-care routines. I am expanding my education in energy, or Qi, movement, yin yoga, subtle bodywork, Chinese medicine and the energetic meridians of the body.
