What is Yoga?
Yoga is the ability to hold space for and let in everything we experience: movement, stillness, joy, anger, sadness, jealousy, challenge, ease, transitions, holding patterns, inhales, exhales, and all the myriads of situations and emotions life throws at us in her unwavering way, regardless of how right or wrong we think she is.
What are you most interested in sharing?
As a yoga teacher, I've been honored to have studied under the guidance of Dharma Mittra, Dana Flynn, Jasmine Tarkeshi, and other extraordinary teachers at Laughing Lotus. They have taught me, through asana, meditation, and pranayama, how to have a freeing and positive embodied experience in my body and mind without the normal restrictions and judgment that can creep into our everyday life. There's a natural medicine in the movement, breath, and in presence that the yoga practice can bring. I'm most interested in sharing a dose of that.
As an acupuncturist, I love threading tidbits of wellness knowledge, anatomical understanding, and meridian theory into my classes to give students a deeper understanding of the inner workings of themselves.
