In my classes, you can expect the opportunity to hold space for yourself, and to greet and explore the experience that arises. You can expect to feel welcome, and to be invited to make the practice yours. We will move steadily and joyfully in our flow, with mindful attention to breath and alignment. We will gift ourselves the time to calm our central nervous system, and to be still.
To me, yoga is connection. It is union with the present moment, and with our authentic selves. It is the understanding that we are whole, complete and connected, just as we are. The external changes we observe in our movement and our breath remind us that change is possible- that everything is fluid, and dynamic. The practice of yoga on the mat allows us to better accept and embrace our experience off of the mat, with grace and with gratitude.
I am inspired in my teaching by my daily embodied experience, and the constant evolution of my personal practice. I am grateful beyond words to my teachers, most notably Jessica Garay and Audra Carmine of Love Hive Yoga, as well as Kate Saul, Roger McKeever, Manorama, Jasmine Tarkeshi, and many others.
Teaching is a privilege. I feel honored to share the gifts of this practice with my students.
